About our church

For generations, Liberty Baptist Church has served as a welcoming beacon of faith, fellowship, and love in our rural community. Learn more about our story, our heart for people, and our devotion to Christ.

A rich heritage since 1880

Liberty Baptist Church was established in 1880 under the name Little Blue Creek Baptist Church. Throughout our early history, the building served a dual purpose—operating as a one-room schoolhouse during the week and a house of worship on Sunday. While our name changed to Liberty, our calling has remained steadfast: serving as a faithful lighthouse for the Little Blue Creek community for well over a century.

Rooted in faith and worship

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are committed to gathering together as a genuine community of believers. We dedicate ourselves to studying God's Word, singing heartfelt praises to His name, and lifting up one another's burdens in continuous prayer. Whether celebrating joyful seasons or supporting each other through trials, faith guides everything we do.

Serving others with the love of Christ

We believe in loving God and loving one another. That means that we serve our neighbors, whether they are in our local area or across the sea. We support many ministries, both here at home and in foreign lands. We give our time, talents and resources to share the love of Christ with others.

"From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warmth. We share laughs, we pray through hard times, and we truly care for one another like family."
